Make a weekend out of it! We are encouraging everyone to arrive in Port Townsend ready for an entire weekend of adventure. From fabulous shops to incredible food, a thriving local arts scene and plenty of beautiful hikes (not to mention great pubs), we could keep you busy for quite some time! ______ Wedding Feast: Guest Services at Fort Worden will be providing a dinner buffet that includes grilled salmon and portobello mushrooms. Yum! We will have hors d'oeuvres served (there are rumors of oysters on the halfshell ... mmm ...) while the wedding party is photographed, with dinner to follow. and drinks for all ... In addition to coffee & tea, drinks will include red & white wine, golden ale and porter from the Port Townsend Brewing Co, and champagne & sparkling cider for the official toast. Wedding Cake: We've arranged with Kaili's Restaurant & Bakery for a small cake (yummy gluten free for the wheatless bride) in chocolate. The Silverwater Cafe will be providing a larger chocolate cake (gluten-filled and delicious) for all of our guests. Visit Kaili's and the Silverwater here: Music at the Ceremony: Folk artist extraordinaire Stanley Greenthal will be playing guitar and mandocello at our ceremony. From romantic melodies to Irish jigs, this music will set an incredible mood for our wedding. We are thrilled that Stanley will be joining us not only as a wedding guest but also as a talented musician. You can visit Stanley's website here: Music at the Reception: Anzanga Marimba Ensemble will be playing/exuding joy for two hours during the reception. Maggie has danced to them live many times - their ensemble is inspired by the music of Zimbabwe, breathes love and happiness with every note, and could make even the most reticent wallflower into a toe-tapping, booty-shaking thang. Here’s the website for Anzanga: ______ (a sampling of Local favorites) There are two streets in town that are particularly wonderful for wandering. Water Street is downtown along the edge of the water; places listed below as downtown are either on or near Water Street. Lawrence Street is uptown, literally up the hill from downtown. Places listed below as uptown are either on or near Lawrence Street. Keep in mind that the list doesn't include everything wonderful in Port Townsend, just our personal favorites! Food and Drink …
