We've always dreamed of being married in Port Townsend ... We've spent many hours there falling in love with each other, and what better place to celebrate our marriage?
The Town: Port Townsend is located on the Olympic Peninsula, north of Hood Canal and with a view toward the Straits of Juan de Fuca. We'll be hosting both ceremony and reception on the grounds at Fort Worden State Park, which is nestled on the north edge of town and surrounded by sandy beaches and plenty of sunshine and wind. Here are a couple of websites for Fort Worden:

Ceremony: We'll be holding our ceremony in a cliffside field above Battery Tolles. There's a view of the water as well as plenty of space for all. If you close your eyes you can hear the sound of the waves on the beach below. The ceremony will include a curving pathway, a reading of poetry, a chalice we both drink from, and audience participation.
Reception: We've booked a large space in the new Commons Building for our reception. Itís a nice building with huge windows, plenty of floor space and a fireplace in the lobby. Hereís the website for the Commons Building:
After-Party: Weíll be having a party after the reception at a house on Officerís Row at Fort Worden, with nibbles and drinks for the die-hards who donít want to go to bed at nine. Bride and Groom will be present until we jet off to our honeymoon suite at midnight. What fun! Hereís the website for the Officerís Houses:
